Say hello to Chris Drury, Unity’s new web developer.

His career in the industry began very early. At the age of eleven he worked on a local web based magazine that focused on showcasing local musical talent.

Chris has been running his own mobile phone website called "phonebasket” with his friend for 18 months. Chris said "phonebasket.com is a portal based website. Each time someone clicks on a mobile offer they get transferred to the correct website and we get a small commission which is great considering the site pretty much looks after itself”.

After answering an ad in his local paper for a web developer vacancy with Unity Creative, Chris was delighted to have beaten off over 20 candidates, especially as he was by far the youngest at just 19 years old. Within days of being appointed Chris was working on several website builds and looking to add further specialist online marketing skills to Unity’s online service.

Music plays a huge part in Chris’s life. He not only performs on stage with his own band but also takes time out to tutor electric guitar to music students of all ages. Chris said “teaching guitar gives me time out from web design and helps me to relax after a hard days coding”.

Chris said: “I love working for Unity, it might sound corny, but what I like most about my work is the people. We do all get on, which makes a very happy team. As a web developer, I’m also used to facing at least one new challenge a day, which adds variety into my work.”
